Hey, my name is José Ribeiro, but you can call me Júnior. I hold degrees in Language and Industrial Design from the Federal University of Pará and the Federal Institute of Pará, both in Brazil. I am a freelance illustrator based in São Paulo, specializing in children’s books.

My work is deeply rooted in narrative — I believe every illustration should not only complement the text but also expand the story, giving it new layers of meaning. That’s why I embrace the handmade feeling and organic shapes, often working with charcoal techniques and colored pencils to create textures that feel alive and authentic.
